Brave Browser has partnered with security firm Guardian in an attempt to bring greater levels of security to Brave users on the iPhone and iPad users.
The partnership will make use of the best of both the privacy stack of brave’s privacy focussed browser and Guardian’s VPN and firewall service, ensuring Brave as the best browser for privacy.
The move will allow Brave Browser’s iOS users the option of turning on Brave Firewall and VPN, ensuring the ultimate privacy for iOS devices while using Brave Browser.
Brave Focus Is On Privacy For Users
Speaking of the partnership Brave CEO Brendan Eich said he had used Guardian VPN and was aware of its superior privacy technology, which he wanted Brave users to be able to take advantage of increased privacy.
‘I’ve paid for their firewall already and I use it, said Eich. ‘But many users haven’t discovered it, with Brave we’re promoting it, making it easier, the switch is right there in the settings. So I think this is good for Guardian. It’s good for Brave users who haven’t acquired a VPN.’
The Firewall and VPN is built into the Brave iPhone and iPad browser app, and once users subscribe, there is a setting to enable the firewall in the app.
And the privacy settings won’t only be set while using Brave, but also in any other app they use on their iPhone or iPad, ensuring protection for users from data, location, and ultimately empowering users to take action at the network level over unwanted surveillance. Read More at Ethereum Nexus
