France is going bitcoin with thousands of stores, including 30 prominent French brands like Boulanger, Foot Locker, Decathlon, Conforama, Maison du Monde, Intersport, Cultura, Norauto and Sephora, to start accepting bitcoin in 2020.
That’s through a payment solution by East2Play which runs the EasyWallet app developed in partnership with Global POS.
“The usual operation will not be impacted since the exchange platforms will be in charge of the conversion of cryptocurrencies into euro,” a press release said according to Le Figaro, a French daily.
Apparently 3% to 6% of French people own cryptos with the stores able to choose instant fiat conversion of crypto payments to address price volatility.
“Initially, the service we offer will only allow the use of bitcoins, but our goal is to open our solution to other cryptocurrencies in the future,” says Stephane Djiane, CEO and founder of Global POS. Read More...
